"Overall, The Dark Knight Rises footage was stunning. Atmospheric, unsettling, nerdgasm-inducing and epic," gushed IGN after seeing a sizzle reel yesterday at CinemaCon. It's heartening news for fans looking forward to seeing the film--and even just to comic book movie fans in general, who are looking forward to a summer where each of the two major comic book movies are in contention for best-ever accolades. And it's not the first time it's come up, either. Late last week, a report surfaced at Cosmic Book News, claiming to have seen an early screening of the film at Warner Brothers in March. He called the movie "virtually flawless" and better than The Dark Knight, then went on to provide a detailed list of spoilers by way of evidence that his perspective was on the level. Highlights of the reviews seem to suggest that Anne Hathaway's performance as Selina Kyle/Catwoman is a highlight, as well as Hans Zimmer's score. That same source at Cosmic Book News claimed earlier in the week that there will be a teaser trailer for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel attached to prints of The Dark Knight Rises when it comes to cinemas in July. It's shaping up to be an interesting summer.
