Chris Evans gets a little break from slinging the shield after The Avengers, but not much of one. A Captain America sequel is the first movie that has been announced for Marvel Studios for 2014. While promoting The Avengers, Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige and Captain America 2 star Chris Evans shared some insight on the upcoming sequel. There was also a little new information revealed during the Marvel Studios Panel at Comic-Con.  Anthony and Joe Russo have been named as the directors on the film. Here are five things that we know so far. Captain America 2 Takes Place Post-Avengers – While this might seem obvious, it's an important clarification considering that the first movie took place during World War II. We might not know much about the plotline for Captain America 2, but at least we do know that it will feature the modern day Captain America. Captain America 2 Starts Filming In January 2013 – While the movie might not be released until 2014, Marvel Studios is going to be filming Captain America early. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Chris Evans revealed that this upcoming January was when he would wear the Captain America costume again. Our sources have told us that there is a good chance that Captain America The Winter Soldier will film in Wilmington, North Carolina, but it might depend on some tax breaks being renewed by the North Carolina government. Steve Rogers Is Still Part Of S.H.I.E.L.D. – In an interview with Collider, Kevin Feige revealed that after the Avengers Captain America stays in S.H.I.E.L.D. This is interesting news, because it suggests that we could see other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents as part of Captain America 2. Captain America Might Have A Sidekick – When the Huffington Post asked Kevin Feige if Captain America would have a sidekick in his sequel, Feige gave a rather interesting answer. He said, "It is interesting that you ask that question. And I'm not going to give you an answer. But I will give you kudos for pointing that out and recognizing that." With the announcement of The Winter Soldier as the title, it also fuels the sidekick speculation. In the comic books, Winter Soldier is the name that Captain America's sidekick Bucky Barnes adapted after returning from the dead. Captain America Will Have Avengers Backdrop – While Kevin Feige told SuperheroHype that Captain America will be pure Steve Rogers story, he also added that it would have more in common with The Avengers backdrop than the other sequels. Feige pointed out that all the other Avengers can go home, but Cap's home is gone. Part of the story will be how Cap adapts to the modern era. Captain America 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters in the United States on April 4, 2014.
