Going to Wizard World Chicago? So Are We.

This weekend, ComicBook.com will be at Wizard World Chicago, with guest writer Jen Aprahamian behind the lens and keyboard for us.

What’s going on at the show? Well, here’s a rundown, with more at the convention’s official programming schedule. It should be noted that, unlike New York Comic Con or San Diego Comic-Con International, Wizard World clears the rooms between panels to allow the most people to see SOMETHING, which means you probably won’t be able to camp out in a hall and see EVERYTHING.

• Question and Answer sessions featuring Stan Lee, The Walking Dead‘s Jon Bernthal, WWE Superstar CM Punk, Heroes‘ Hayden Panettiere, Burn Notice‘s Bruce Campbell, X-Men and Superman Returns star James Marsters and other celebrity guests.
• Three “Star Trek” captains reunite as William Shatner, Scott Bakula and Avery Brooks compare stories of their respective times at the command of the Enterprise.
• A Vampire Diaries Q&A with Paul Wesley and Torrey DeVitto.
• A discussion of the hit NCIS franchise with Lauren Holly and Scottie Thompson.
• The Boondock Saints trio of Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus and David Della Rocco rekindle memories of the popular 1999 cult movie and sequel 10 years later.
• A screening of the new film Contamination – A Convention Story, an in-depth look at the fans and celebrities who attend Horror, Sci-Fi, and Pop Culture Conventions.
• Sci-Fi Speed Dating, fast becoming a convention staple.
• Kids’ Day on Sunday, with a full slate of activities specially designed for the youngsters.
• Cosplay and costume contests – adults on Saturday night, kids on Sunday.
