It’s been said that Arrow, the upcoming CW television series based on DC Comics’s Green Arrow, will be a bit like Batman Begins (but, you know, with arrows), and that connection seems pretty clear when you look at a new preview for the show, released yesterday, that seems to show Green Arrow squaring off against the police and Starling City’s elite, challenging them to be the kinds of leaders that the city deserves.
It also answers for fans one of the great questions of any Green Arrow adaptation: how will they deal with the obvious parallels to Robin Hood? In the case of Arrow, the answer is “head-on,” with characters already making those jokes for you in the show.
Arrow debuts on October 10 on The CW.
