Ahead of Friday's release, an anonymous source has purportedly leaked details of the Man of Steel trailer linked to the release of Warner Brothers/Legendary Pictures's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Comic Book Movie is reporting that the trailer will feature much of the same footage already screened by the studio at San Diego Comic Con International in July. Featuring a young Superman rescuing a bus from falling into the water, his parents' fear of Clark being caught and the suspicion of even the neighbors he's saved...and a lot of big, epic shots with swelling music and our first look at the Fortress of Solitude, the trailer looks to focus more on Superman's heroism and what his existience means to the world, than on the fight with Zod and his allies. For fans who haven't seen the Comic Con footage yet, this should also be the first look we get at Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Antje Traue as Faora, one of Zod's "Phantom Zone criminals." Assuming the details turn out to be true - and the description certainly has the ring of truth to it - one of the most interesting elements of the trailer is that it features relatively little of star Henry Cavill's take on Superman, which has been lauded by all of his co-stars as a fantastic performance that may finally help moviegoers to get out from under the shadow of Christopher Reeve's take on the big, blue boy scout. Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane; the movie will be in theaters on June 14, 2013.
