Guardians of the Galaxy rumors

While there has been little in the way of official information about the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, the rumor mill is really starting to heat up. Some of the rumors have been initially denied by director James Gunn via social media, but he later removed the denials, so we're not sure what that means. Here are the top five rumors we've heard about Guardians of the Galaxy. 5. Thanos Will Be The Villain – Jim Starlin reportedly revealed at a comic book convention appearance that Thanos would appear in both Avengers 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy. As the creator of Thanos, Jim Starlin would certainly be in a position to know. However, the reports are still unconfirmed. 4. Nova Will Appear In Guardians Of The Galaxy – In the background of the Guardian of the Galaxy image released at Comic Con, the stars resemble the Nova helmet logo. Also, Marvel reportedly reduced the number of their Premier Hardcovers to include just their most important movie properties. The only title listed without a known movie property was Nova, and the only likely place for him to appear in a movie would be Guardians of the Galaxy. 3. Michael Rooker Will Voice Rocket Racoon – Not so much a rumor, as just a damn good idea. Michael Rooker has expressed interest in voicing Rocket Raccon, and he's friends with Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn. No one has said for sure this will happen, but Michael Rooker's star has been rising since he returned as Merle on The Walking Dead, and he just seems like the perfect choice. 2. Three Actors Up For Drax The Destroyer Role – While most of the rumors have centered around the lead role and the voice of Rocket Racoon, there has also been some chatter about who will play Drax. Isaiah Mustafa, Brian Patrick Wade and the WWE's Dave Bautista are reportedly the three actors in the running. 1. Everyone Is Auditioning For Star-Lord – Let us count the actors that have been rumored to be in the running to play Peter Quill. There's John Krasinski, Michael Rosenbaum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Zachary Levi, Jim Sturgess, Jack Huston, Lee Pace, Joel Edgerton, Eddie Redmayne, Garrett Hedlund, Sullivan Stapleton and James Marsden. A dozen actors have reportedly been considered for the role, which just seems like a lot.
