In an appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Guillermo del Toro gave a brief update on the status of Hellboy 3. When Ferguson asked Guillermo del Toro if he was going to make another Hellboy, Guillermo del Toro said, “I don’t know. We’re trying. We’re trying.”
So if Guillermo del Toro wants to do Hellboy 3, what is the hold up? Ferguson followed up asking Guillermo del Toro if he was writing another Hellboy movie. Guillermo del Toro slapped his hand and joked, “No, more movies until I do another Hellboy movie.”
Guillermo del Toro also added, “The problem we have with it, Ron wants to do it, Mike Mignola, Larry Gordon, everybody, except none of us has one hundred and fifty million dollars.” Ferguson then suggested that CBS Films provide the money, while Guillermo del Toro said, “We’ll do Kickstarter.” Ferguson also asked to be in the next Hellboy for a brief scene, and Guillermo del Toro agreed and said, “I promise you, you’ll be destroyed.”
