In a move that's as unexpected as it is sensible, a script for the upcoming Doctor Who fiftieth anniversary special reportedly includes a part for all eleven Doctors. Reports Wired, "Steven Moffat has confirmed that he is completing a script that will feature the current Doctor, Matt Smith, facing a foe so great that he will need assistance from all ten of the previous TARDIS inhabitants. That's right, rumors say Eccleston is in!!! The producers have gotten agreements from all living actors who have ever played the Doctor;  Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, and Matt Smith. With some studio special effects they have even resurrected William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, and Jon Pertwee." The article speculates that it's newly-added Arrow co-star Alex Kingston as River Song who will bring the band together, apparently against the Eleventh Doctor's wishes. According to the report, none of the Doctor's former companions will appear in the special, which is too bad, but also keeps the size of the cast somewhat under control so it's understandable.
