Yesterday, Comicbook.com was first to pick up on reports from the London Toy Fair which revealed a new Man of Steel villain, who is part of a Man of Steel Lego set. Tor-An is listed as part of the Superman Battle of Smallville Lego playset. Of course, sometimes with Lego sets they will include villains who might not actually be in the movie. However, we received a tip from an anonymous source who indicated that Tor-An will indeed be in the Man of Steel movie.
In fact, according to the source, Tor-An will be played by Richard Cetrone. In addition, to Tor-An, another Phantom Zone villain named Dev-Em will appear in the movie. Dev-Em will be played Revard Dufresne. Both Richard Cetrone and Revard Dufresne previously worked with Zack Snyder on Sucker Punch.
In the comic books Tor-An was a member of the military guild who had served under General Zod, and Dev-Em was a criminal who became one of Zod’s followers. The Man of Steel is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 14,2013.
