JJ Abrams Star Wars Disney Announcement

J.J. Abrams attended the Producers Guild Awards tonight at the Beverly Hilton, where he received the PGA's Norman Lear Achievement in Television Award. Jennifer Gardner, who worked with J.J. Abrams on Alias, presented the award. J.J. Abrams has been part of creating such shows as Felicity, LOST, Fringe, Person of Interest, Revolution, and more. Of course, the press wasted no time asking J.J. Abrams about landing the director job for Star Wars Episode 7. Speaking to EOnline on the red carpet, J.J. Abrams said, "It really is an incredible thing. It's wildly surreal." And even though Kevin Smith seems convinced that the original cast of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher are coming back for Star Wars Episode 7, J.J. Abrams refused to drop any spoilers. When asked about the original cast, J.J. Abrams said, "It's obviously way too early to talk specifics. But I'm excited to actually start it."
