The filmmakers behind Sin City: A Dame to Kill For added both Julia Garner and Eva Green to their film’s burgeoning cast today, announcing that Green would be playing Ava Lord, the titular “dame.”
A full cast list came with the announcement, solidifying names for some of the actors who were previously only known to be “attached to the film.”
“Ava Lord is one of the most deadly and fascinating residents of Sin City. From the start, we knew that the actor would need to be able to embody the multifaceted characteristics of this femme fatale and we found that in Eva Green,” said a statement from filmmakers Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller.
Green is also starring in 300: Rise of an Empire, a sequel to 300, which was based on a graphic novel by Miller. The tale, which reportedly tells of the rise of Xerxes before the events of 300, will also be a graphic novel from Miller.
Garner will reportedly star as a young stripper who is featured opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Johnny.
The film, which is due out on October 4, features a number of stars returning from the previous movie and a few newcomers to the franchise, as well. A complete cast list as of today is below.
