Comic Book Men Midseason Premiere Recap

On "The Clash At The Stash" episode of Comic Book Men, a third grade teacher brings in a Bowen statue of Juggernaut to sell. The teacher wants $350 for the statue, but Walt offers $225. After some negotiation, Walt agrees to buy the statue for $274. After the teacher leaves, a guy named Nate Quarry approaches Walt about carrying his independently published comic book called Zombie Cage Fighter. Nate explains that he's a retired UFC fighter and that the books based on his life. In trade for carrying his comic book, Walt asks for Nate to arrange for the guys at the Secret Stash to see a real MMA fight. Ming suggests that the two fighters should wear costumes, and Nate agrees to make it happen. After Nate leaves, another customer comes in trying to sell Superman and Wonder Woman Underoos. The customer wants $150 for both pairs of Underoos, but Walt only offers $50. After some negotiation, Walt agrees to buy the Underoos for $75. Walt says he will wear the Superman Underoos if Ming will wear the Wonder Woman Underoos. Ming comes out wearing the Wonder Woman Underoos, but Walt has his Superman Underoos on under his clothes. A customer is interested in buying Green Lantern #76, which features a team-up with Green Arrow. Walt shows off the Neal Adams artwork inside. The comic is marked at $425, but the customer wants to buy it for $250. Since Walt and the customer can't come to an agreement on price, Walt suggests the trade paperback reprint for $30, which the customer buys. At the MMA fight, Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes join the guys from the Secret Stash. In a surprise move, Nate brings out two fighters dressed as Jay and Silent Bob. After some pep talk from Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, the costumed Jay and Silent Bob fight. The costumed Jay winds up winning the match.
