The new Iron Man 3 poster is being met with a strong positive reaction from fans. After seeing many similar posters for various movies, it’s nice to see something rather unique. While the poster focuses on Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man front and center, it’s the suits of armor in the background that seem to be providing the most fun for fans.
We’ve magnified each of the armor images. There’s a couple that we can identify but most of them are a little bit of a mystery. We’ve numbered them below for fans to take their own guesses as to each.
Iron Man Armor #1 - This armor looks a little bit like the Heartbreaker armor, but there’s another design that more closely matches Heartbreaker armor, so we’re not sure on this one.
Iron Man Armor #2 – This armor looks like the Silver Centurion armor, except it appears to have gold rather than silver.
Iron Man Armor #3 – Not positive on this armor, could it be Aquatic armor?
Iron Man Armor #4 – This armor sort of looks like it might be Stealth armor to us.
Iron Man Armor #5 - This armor certainly has one of the most unique designs, but it has us stumped.
Iron Man Armor #6 - The face of this armor sort of looks like the Godkiller armor from the comic books, but we’re pretty sure that it’s likely the Heartbreaker armor, based on the large arc reactor.
Iron Man Armor #7 - This one is the easiest to identify. It’s Tony Stark’s Space Armor. In Iron Man 3 toys, it has been identified as both Deep Space Suit armor and Starboost armor, so we’re not sure which name will stick.
Iron Man is set to be released in movie theaters in the United States on May 3, 2013.
