Earlier this year, Wizard World announced that they would be releasing variant covers for The Walking Dead #1 at all of their Comic Cons in 2013. The first variant cover was illustrated by artist Michael Golden and was released at Wizard World Portland Comic Con last weekend.
Wizard World has just announced that the artist for the second variant cover will be Arthur Suydam, who is known for his work in the zombie genre. Suydam’s The Walking Dead #1 variant cover edition will be provided for free to all full-price attendees at Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con, March 22-24 at America’s Center, while supplies last.
Suydam will allso be on hand at Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con to sign copies of the limited-edition comic. A different superstar artist will draw the variant cover art for each of the six remaining scheduled Wizard World shows this year.
In addition, Laurie Holden, who plays Andrea on The Walking Dead, will be appearing at the Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con. Other guests include Stan Lee, Tom Felton, Henry Winkler, Morena Baccarin and Randy Orton.
Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con event hours are Friday, March 22, 3-8 PM, Saturday, March 23, 10 AM-7 PM and Sunday, March 24, 10 AM 5 PM.
