The Walking Dead Season 4 Robert Kirkman

The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman has revealed that some changes are in store for the fourth season of The Walking Dead. In an article in this week's Rolling Stone, Kirkman says, "We're not going to slow things down, but if I had a criticism of Season Three, it would be that we didn't focus on character development." According to Kirkman, season four of The Walking Dead will "step it up a notch" in the character development department. As an example of what fans can expect more of in season four, Kirkman pointed to the recent "Clear" episode, which was written by incoming showrunner Scott Gimple. In the "Clear" episode, Rick Grimes took a road trip with Carl and Michonne. Since there were only four main characters (counting Morgan), the episode really helped dive into the motivations of each character. In season four, Kirkman says, "We're going to focus on fewer characters per episode."
