The Sixth Gun Casts Smallville's Mera

As cameras began to roll on The Sixth Gun, the NBC drama added its final major piece of casting in the form of Elena Satine, formerly Aquaman's beloved Mera on Smallville. According to Deadline, "Satine will play the "widow" Missy Hume, a powerful Madame who runs the town of Brimstone kept unnaturally youthful by being in possession of the Fifth Gun. A cold stunningly beautiful woman of great cunning, she is unafraid to use whatever means to collect all Six Guns for her own dark purposes." The series, based on Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt's Oni Press comics, began its life at Syfy but quickly stalled out there, only to find itself alive and well at NBC after Lost producer Carlton Cuse discovered the supernatural Western and thought it had potential for network success.
