Fans of Booster Gold know that it's just a few hours until the time-traveling superhero makes his next in-continuity appearance in DC Comics's New 52; he'll appear for a three-issue stint in All-Star Western beginning with tomorrow's issue and then rumors have been flying around that he'll play a larger role in the DC Universe now that he's returned from limbo. In any case, one element of Booster Gold's mythology that doesn't appear to have carried over to All-Star Western is his trusty sidekick Skeets, a security robot from the museum where Booster stole his time machine in the 25th Century. We know that Skeets exists in the New 52, having talked to Booster over a headset built into Booster's cowl during Justice League International's brief run. Still, we'd never seen him actually appear on the page since before the launch of the New 52. Some fans even speculated that--as he had been in Smallville--Skeets would be incorporated into the circuitry of Booster's suit, so that he wouldn't have a physical body at all in the New 52.

Skeets on horseback

Improbably, though, it's gone the other way--the metal, flying Skeets has been introduced into the Smallville Season Eleven comic book series rather than having the no-Skeets status quo of Season Ten imposed on the New 52. Your move, Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray. Skeets rides a mean horse!
