Iron Man 3 Debuts With $195.3 Million At International Box Office

While Iron Man 3 doesn't open in the United States until next weekend, the film is already off to a record-breaking start at the international box office. Iron Man 3 was released in forty-two  international markets this weekend, and the film took in an amazing $195.3 million. The $195.3 million start for Iron Man 3 is actually better than The Avengers, which opened to a $185.1 million debut in thirty-nine international markets. Iron Man 3 broke the all-time opening weekend records in Argentina, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore. With such a great start at the international market, could Iron Man 3 actually have a shot at breaking the opening weekend record in the United States? The Avengers definitely set the bar high, but it's starting to look like Iron Man 3 might actually have a chance at the record.
