Michael B. Evans Human Torch

With Chis Evans having moved on from the Fantastic Four to The Avengers, we know he won't be reprising his role as The Human Torch. It would just be too confusing to have the same actor as both Captain America and The Human Torch. So who will play the illustrious Johnny Storm? According to TheWrap, Chronicle star Michael B. Jordan is under serious consideration for The Human Torch role. Of course, Fantastic Four director Josh Trank directed Michael B. Jordan in Chronicle. If Michael B. Jordan does land the role, then he will be the first African-American actor to play The Human Torch, who is white in the Marvel comics. In addition to Chronicle, Michael B. Jordan is also known for breakout TV roles in The Wire and Friday Night Lights. In the comics, Johnny Storm is the brother of fellow Fantastic Four member Sue Storm, also known as the Invisible Girl. The Wrap notes that it's unknown how Michael B. Jordan casting could affect the Sue Storm casting. Another interesting note from TheWrap is that even though the Fantastic Four has been assigned a March 6, 2015 release date, it has not officially been greenlit.
