Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Reason Behind Coulson's Return Is Cooler Than Online Theories

Even before it was officially announced that Clark Gregg would be reprising his role as Agent Coulson on Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., there were lots of fan theories about how Agent Coulson could possible return for Avengers 2. One of the most popular theories was that Coulson might return as the Vision. The theory seems to have originated from the simple fact that Clark Gregg sort of looks like the Vision. Well, it turns out that Clark Gregg himself really liked the Vision theory. In an interview with EOnline, Clark Gregg talked about the various theories about how Coulson would return. Clark Gregg said, "I was a big fan of the Vision theory. Although, I wasn't sure I wanted to be an A.I. The Life Model Decoy, that's a great theory, and I think that the answer that people will get is cooler than anything I've ever read." Judging from Clark Gregg's response, it appears as if the real answer behind Coulson's return is not the Vision theory, the Life Model Decoy theory, or any of the other theories circulating online. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air on Tuesdays at 8 PM ET on ABC in the fall.
