Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes

After "The Killer Within" episode of The Walking Dead, Comicbook.com went on record stating that we believed Andrew Lincoln deserved to be nominated for an Emmy Award for his portrayal of Rick Grimes. The Walking Dead executive producer Gale Anne Hurd agreed with us, stating, "In my humble opinion, an Emmy or SAG nomination for Andy is long overdue. I think the visibility of the show is such that his fellow actors have likely seen it, and hopefully this year they'll feel the way we do about Andy's performances." Now, the Broadcast Television Journalists Association can be added to the list of those who appreciate the talents of Andrew Lincoln, as the actor was nominated for a Critics' Choice Award earlier today. Andrew Lincoln was nominated in the category for Best Actor In A Drama Series. Other nominees in the category included Bryan Cranston for Breaking Bad, Damian Lewis for Homeland, Timothy Olyphant for Justified, Matthew Rhys for The Americans, and Kevin Spacey for House of Cards. The 3rd annual Critics' Choice Television Awards, which will be held the evening of Monday, June 10, 2013 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel.
