Former Star Trek Writers Trying to Kickstart Web Series

(the original series) writers David Gerrold and DC (Dorothy) Fontana and producer David C. Fein have taken to Kickstarter to fund The Star Wolf, a new science-fiction series based on a series of best-selling novels by Gerrold. "David Gerrold and Dorothy Fontana gave us some of the best writing we ever had on the original Star Trek series," Star Trek mainstay Leonard Nimoy said. "I, for one, will be eagerly looking forward to see what their creativity will offer us on The Star Wolf." The Big Bang Theory producer Bill Prady, Star Trek's Nichelle Nichols and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine star Chase Masterson are among those who are supporting the Kickstarter campaign (along with Nimoy). "When I began my career, everything I knew about how television was written and produced came from David Gerrold's books," said Prady. "I can think of no one more deserving of the chance to pilot a TV series." You can check out their Kickstarter trailer below.
