Christopher Nolan & Zack Snyder

Is Christopher Nolan still involved in the Man Of Steel follow-up? There appear to be conflicting rumors circulating the Internet. When Warner Bros. made their announcement on Thursday that Ben Affleck was cast as Batman, there was another name that was surprisingly missing from the press release. In the Warner Bros release, it stated, "The new Super Hero film is being scripted by David S. Goyer from a story he co-created with Zack Snyder. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan and Wesley Coller serving as executive producers." Christopher Nolan's name doesn't appear in the press release. Christopher Nolan was a producer and also credited as a co-author of the story for the first Man Of Steel movie. While it was expected that Christopher Nolan would play a lesser role in the sequel since he's currently busy on Interstellar, it was still expected that he would be an executive producer on the Batman Vs. Superman (or Superman Vs. Batman) movie. Given that Warner Bros. played up Christopher Nolan's name in the trailers and TV ads for Man Of Steel, it's surprising that they would leave him off a press release if he was going to be involved in any way in the Man Of Steel follow-up. Even though many are taking the omission as being a sign that Christopher Nolan is off the project, Box Office Mojo's Ray Subers tweeted that Warner Bros. told him that Christopher Nolan and his wife Emma Thomas were still executive producers on the film. We've reached out to Warner Bros. for clarification on Christopher Nolan's involvement with the Man Of Steel follow-up, and we will update this article when we get a response as to Nolan's involvement in the film.
