Godzilla Director Gareth Edwards Message To Fans & New Godzilla Poster

Earlier today, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures released the very first official trailer for Godzilla. To kick off the Godzilla trailer release, director Gareth Edwards made a short video message to fans, which we've embedded below. In addition to the trailer, Legendary Pictures also released a brand new poster for Godzilla, which matches up with the opening sequence in the new trailer. An epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence. Godzilla stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston. Gareth Edwards is directing the film from a screenplay by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont and Dave Callaham. Godzilla is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on May 16, 2014.
