Whoopi Goldberg To Attend Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con

Wizard World announced today that the Academy Award winning actress, Whoopi Goldberg, will be attending the Wizarld World Philadelphia Comic Con. Goldberg is known for many roles, including her Golden Globe winning performance in The Color Purple, her comedic work in Sister Act, and her role hosting the daytime talk show, The View. Science fiction fans are likely to remember her most fondly as Guinan, the wise hostess of the Enterprise's bar, Ten Forward, on Star Trek: The Next Generation. "Our fans have put Whoopi at the top of their wish lists and have been waiting for this day, in many cases 25 years, to meet the incomparable Whoopi Goldberg. They will get that chance at Philadelphia Comic Con 2014," said John Macaluso, Wizard World CEO. "Whoopi's appeal is broad, from those who loved her 'TNG' work to the many who have enjoyed her movies, TV shows, books and specials." According to Wizard World, Goldberg will greet fans, pose for photo ops, sign autographs and conduct an interactive Q&A during the Philadelphia Comic Con. She will appear on Friday evening, June 20, and the full event day Saturday, June 21. The Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on June 19-22, 2014.
