Captain America The Winter Soldier: Batroc First Look Photo

Marvel has released five new images from the upcoming film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, one of which gives us our first look at Batroc the Leaper. Batroc the Leaper is a classic Captain America villain, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Batroc was a member of the French Legion who trained himself in the French kickboxing style called savate. He became a mercenary and thief, which has led him into conflict with Captain America on numerous occasions. Judging from the shots, it looks like that's where he'll find himself in the film as well. In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Batroc will be potrayed by Georges St-Pierre, a Canadian mixed martial artist and former Welterweight Champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The other stills include shots of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and Anthony Mackie as The Falcon. In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and battles a new threat from old history: the Soviet agent known as the Winter Soldier. The film comes to theaters April 2, 2014.
