Arrow Renewed For Season Three

There was never very much doubt, but Arrow star Stephen Amell just took to Twitter to confirm what fans had been waiting to hear: The DC Comics adaptation has been renewed for a third season and will officially be back on The CW in the fall. The show, which is currently on a three-week hiatus to accommodate The Olympics, will return on February 26. Increasingly, the network have trusted Amell to break news and share show details, often giving him images for his personal Facebook page before they're released to the official Arrow page. On Facebook, Amell said, "Arrow Season 3 is happening. I LOVE EVERYBODY!" After an expansive second season which has seen the number of members of "Team Arrow" swell while establishing the Birds of Prey, League of Assassins and Suicide Squad, Amell recently told Facebook fans in a Q&A that the third season, if it happened, was planned to be somewhat more "intimate." The CW also renewed Supernatural, The Originals and The Vampire Diaries. Supernatural and Arrow both have spinoffs coming in the fall.
