Saturday Night Live: Jim Parsons

Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory, is hosting Saturday Night Live tonight. NBC has released two video promos for the episode, one featuring Parsons with Bobby Moynihan and the other featuring Parsons with Beck. On the Moynihan promo, Moynihan tells Parsons that he rigged it up so the promo would have a laugh track to make him feel more comfortable since he comes from the sitcom world. However, Parsons says that they tape The Big Bang Theory in front of a live studio audience and don't use a laugh track. When Parsons makes fun of Moynihan's mistake, the laugh track kicks in. In the Beck promo, Parson shares that his catch phrase is "Bazinga!" Beck reveals that his catch phrase is "I'm Beck." Parsons suggests that Beck's catchphrase might need some work. It will be Jim Parson's first time hosting the show. Beck will be making his seventh appearance as a musical guest. Beck's eagerly anticipated album, "Morning Phase," is due out February 25.
