There have been lots of conflicting reports about exactly when Ben Affleck and the rest of the cast will start filming for Batman Vs. Superman. We know that Ben Affleck has already been working out to get in shape for his role, but it’s been somewhat of a mystery as to when he would start filming.
However, we now have official word on when Ben Affleck will report for duty as Batman. During an appearance on Wednesday night’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote her upcoming film Draft Day, Ben Affleck’s wife Jennifer Garner talked about her and her husband’s work schedules.
“He [Ben Affleck] leaves,” said Garner. “I get home Friday, and then, he leaves that day for Batman.”
So there you have it, Ben Affleck is reporting for duty as Batman on Friday, April 11, 2014. This could be an indication that we might get our first look at Ben Affleck in the Batman costume sometime very soon, as Warner Bros. will likely want to release an official image before a paparazzi snaps a photo of him on set in the costume.
Batman Vs. Superman is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on May 6, 2016.
