Game Of Thrones Hits Series High With 6.9 Million Viewers

has, once again, set a series ratings record. Last night's episode, "Oathkeeper," was viewed by 6.9 million people. That breaks the pervious series record of 6.6 million viewers, set by the season four premiere, "Two Swords." "Oathkeeper" played twice more after it initially airing, which brought the total viewing audience up to 8.4 million. Last week's episode, "Breaker of Chains," was controversial due to the scene in which Jaime Lannister rapes his sister and lover, Cersei. It appears that the scene did nothing to make fans abandon the show. Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 PM ET on HBO.
