The Walking Dead Season Four Blu-ray Gets Trailer, Release Date

AMC's hit comic book adaptation The Walking Dead is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on August 26, giving audiences more than a month to get caught up before the October premiere of Season Five, Anchor Bay Home Entertainment announced today.

They also unveiled a thirty-second teaser trailer for the release.

Each format contains five discs, presenting each episode as it was originally broadcast. The home video release also features hours of bonus features, including never-before-seen production footage, deleted scenes and audio commentaries, with ultra-exclusive content only available on the Blu-ray release, including additional audio commentaries and several "extended" episodes seen for the first time!

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, AMC's The Walking Dead enjoyed its most popular season to date, averaging 13.3 million live/same day viewers per episode and 8.6 million adults 18-49.

As they've done in the past, Anchor Bay is making a limited edition version of the Blu-ray available featuring elaborate, collectible packaging by Todd McFarlane Productions. In this season's case, it's the tree walker seen early in the season.

The Walking Dead: The Complete Fourth Season is available for pre-order via the official The Walking Dead website and other online retailers on Blu-ray (suggested price: $79.99), DVD (SRP: $69.99) and the Limited Edition set ($129.99), all of which will arrive in stores on August 26.
