There are few comics artists who generate mainstream attention the way Alex Ross does.

Both inside and outside of the industry, Ross's art is marketable -- and on the rare occasion he does something sequential, it's always a best-seller. Mostly, unfortunately, he's relegated to covers and merchandising...but even then, you get occasional bursts of real excitement when we get to see him working on something iconic like Miracleman.

Such was the case with Batman '66/Green Hornet, the Kevin Smith-penned miniseries that follows up on the events of a classic TV crossover from the '60s. His covers have been well-received (as has the miniseries in general), and have generated enough buzz that DC made the reveal of the latest cover -- with the Batmobile and the Black Beauty apparently drag-racing -- a centerpiece of its latest DC All Access video.
