Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary Trailer Released

Back in early June, Sony Pictures announced that they would be re-releasing Ghostbusters in 700 theaters during Labor Day weekend in 2014 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film.

Earlier today, Sony Pictures released the first trailer for the 30th anniversary re-release of Ghostbusters. The trailer teases, "Every few decades an event comes along of biblical proportions." The Ghostbusters re-release will be fully restored in 4K in select theaters and will play for one week only.

The theatrical re-release will be followed on September 16 by the release of the Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary Edition and Ghostbusters II 25th Anniversary Edition Blu-rays. The Blu-rays will be available as a two-disc Digibook that includes both films and as a limited edition gift set featuring the two-disc digibook and an exclusive Slimer figurine, for a limited time.
