The Tracking Board is reporting that X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer is developing James Hudnall's 1990's fantasy comic Age of Heroes for film. Singer, Working through his company, Bad Hat Harry, has brought on Alex Hollister to write the script, and Marc Berliner to co-produce with David Engel and Stephen Emery, representing Circle of Confusion.

Hudnall's original comic series, which was illustrated by John Ridgway and published by Image Comics, followed a ragtag band of heroes in a fantasy world ruled over by gods. When the gods decide to leave, it falls to this heroic band of misfits to protect the world from the monsters and arcane evildoers who inhabit it. The comic remains unfinished after only six issues, but Hudnall released a novel last year, Hell's Reward, that stars the same characters and is intended to be the first of a series.

Singer is coming off a big success with X-Men: Days of Future Past, and rumor has it that Fox Studios still want him on board for X-Men: Apocalypse.
