Kevin Bacon Congratulates James Gunn On Guardians Of The Galaxy

One of the funniest lines in director James Gunn's Guardian of the Galaxy involves actor Kevin Bacon. When Zoe Saldana's character Gamora says that she's a warrior and assassin and that she doesn't dance, Chris Pratt's character Star-Lord replies with this hilarious line.

Really? Well, on my planet, there's a legend about people like you. It's called Footloose. And in it, a great hero, named Kevin Bacon, teaches an entire city full of people with sticks up their butts that dancing, well, it's the greatest thing there is.

In response, Gamora asks, "Who put the sticks up their butts? That is cruel."

Even though it doesn't appear as if Kevin Bacon has seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet, it's likely reached him that he's mentioned in the movie.

On Thursday, Kevin Bacon himself tweeted out, "Big congrats to @JamesGunn I hear #GuardiansOfTheGalaxy is amazing. Can't wait!"

James Gunn retweeted Bacon's tweet, and now that the two have connected on social media, we have to wonder if this could lead to a Kevin Bacon cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Wouldn't it be hilarious to have the Guardians arrive on earth and meet the great hero, Kevin Bacon?
