Black Panther & Captain Marvel

It seems like Marvel fans have been asking forever for movies revolving around Black Panther and Captain Marvel, and Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige has been listening. In an interview with IGN, Feige appeared to come very close to actually announcing the films.

When asked if Black Panther and Captain Marvel are characters that he would like to give a solo film, Feige replied, "Absolutely." Then, he teased, "Should I announce it? No, I'm not announcing. But it's something…they are both characters that we like, that development work has been done on and is continuing to be done on."

Feige added, "And certainly, the public…it's a question I get asked more than anything else…more than Iron Man 4….more than Avengers 3. And that's sort of the first time that's really happened to us. And I think that makes a difference. I think that's something we have to pay attention to."

Then, Kevin went on to explain that they had a plan and opinions wouldn't cause them to deviate from their plan. However, he added, "But in this particular case, I think it is a groundswell. And I think it does…I think it means something substantial."
