DC has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive preview of Mother Panic #7 from writer Jody Hauser and artist John Paul Leon with colors by Dave Stewart.
This is the second act of the book, but Hauser remains energized and the book keeps evolving.
The backdrop of Gotham City, one of DC's richest environments, doesn't hurt, of course.
"I think in some ways it actually makes [my job] easier becuase I already have a playground that I'm familiar with and that the readers are familiar with," Houser told ComicBook.com at New York Comic Con last year. "I think that grounds the book a bit more, becuase she is a new character. Otherwise if she was in a totally new city without all those characters around to give it flavor, you'd really be starting from scratch and you'd have to create a whole setting. I think Gotham is such a rich city, and putting a new character in there and seeing how she reacts to things that we've seen other characters react to...you have a tone to start off with."
You can check out the official solicitation text below and the preview pages in the attached image gallery.
A life Mother Panic once saved is again struck by tragedy, causing her to take a deeper look at her mission of revenge and her role in Gotham City. And with the shadow of the Bat looming ever closer, she may not have much time to decide where she stands!
And don’t miss chapter seven of the backup story, “Gotham Radio”!
