Sara Lance may be set to find love in the third season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
According to TV Line, Sara (Caity Lotz) will have a new romantic interest in Legends of Tomorrow Season 3, but her new relationship won't be the only one thrust into the spotlight.
The same report also says that Legends of Tomorrow will continue to put a focus on the friendship between Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) and Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), as well as that of Steel (Nick Zano) and The Atom (Bradon Routh).
Co-showrunner Marc Guggenheim is promising an exciting third season for Legends of Tomorrow fans and made an unexpected comparison.
"The approach was to take everything that worked last year and double down, go further, make it zanier," Guggenheim says. "Last year we lived maybe five inches from the Jump the Shark line. Now we're two inches in front of it.
"If [the Time Bureau] is the Beverly Hills police department, our characters are Axel Foley. We find the fun in that antagonistic relationship."
The season will also introduce a new team member named Zari Adrianna Tomaz (Tala Ashe), a Muslim hacktivist from the year 2030.
The idea of a character from the future was interesting to us, because she's like, 'If you saved the world, you didn't do a very good job,'" Guggenheim says. "She takes the piss out of our heroes."
However, with new allies come new enemies for the Legends of Tomorrow team. After dealing with the Legion of Doom last season, this season they'll face a new supervillain team led by The Flash villain Gorilla Grodd. We know that Vixen's granddaughter, Kuasa (Tracy Ifeachor), and Arrow villain Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) are part of this new organization, and more members are likely to be revealed as the show presses forward.
DC's Legends of Tomorrow returns to The CW on Jan. 8, 2018. The rest of The CW's DC Television lineup returns to the air in October.
