Injustice 2: Starfire's Ending, Shaders, Release Date, and More
Starfire is officially coming to Injustice 2 tomorrow! It was revealed during the official [...]
Starfire Shaders
Starfire's shaders contain a lot of the usual suspects. You'll find the gods and demons shaders here, as well as the newly released tournament shaders which you can purchase to support the Injustice 2 competitive scene. These all look great, but it's the more canonically sensitive shaders that DC Comics fans will find the most fun.
There are a few "Tamarean Princess" shaders and alternate colors that players will want to mess around with for a simple change of pace, but in a stroke of fan-serving brilliance, the team at NetherRealm also included the Starfire emoticlones! All five emoticlones are represented here: Passion, Disgust, Craziness, Fear, and Savagery. There are also variations of each emoticlone color scheme, so no matter which version of Starfire you find the most appealing, there is likely a shader here that you'll fall in love with. Just don't get any funny thoughts about Passion Starfire like Beast Boy did.
Speaking of Beast Boy, Starfire's somewhat tragic arcade mode ending seems to hint at his current whereabouts.
prevnextThe Fate of the Titans
Starfire has, by far, the most emotional ending out of any of the Injustice 2 characters so far. It ends on a seemingly happy note, but dang if the journey there isn't heart-rending, especially for those of you who are invested in the Teen Titans lore.
As Starfire points out in here monologue, the Titans that she grew to know and love are all gone. Raven left to serve her father Trigon, a name that you may actually hear Starfire mention in-game in a clash with Robin.
And speaking of Robin, Starfire's star-crossed lover is dead and gone. Her other romantic counterpart of sorts, Beast Boy, has been missing for a long time, and Starfire claims that he's probably dead. Cyborg as we all know decided to join Superman's regime, and there he stays. Starfire feels utterly lost and alone, but finds it within herself to celebrate her victory with her new comrades. It's touching, but in a very melancholy way.
So... Does this mean we're not getting any more Titans as DLC?
