Thor: Ragnarok will slip into theaters come November, and the sequel plans to rekindle a long-standing feud between brothers. Loki and Thor will come head-to-head in the film, and a new reel from Entertainment Tonight shows the God of Thunder isn't joking around.
Recently, a behind-the-scenes set video of Thor: Ragnarok was featured on Entertainment Tonight. The video, which can be seen here, shows Chris Hemsworth as he does a brief interview about the film. The clip has several BTS montages interspersed between between the interview reels, and one shows Thor going up to against Loki.
As you can see below, the shot follows Thor as he confronts Loki in what looks to be Asgard. The villain is seen sitting on an ornate couch looking bewildered as Thor approached him with his hammer in front of him. A slew of Asgardian guards can be seen surrounding Loki's seating area, and Thor looks none too happy when he presses Loki into the couch with his hammer.
There's no telling what the scene may be for, but fans have a good idea. The shot takes place when Thor still has long hair, so it takes place before he gets sent to Sakar, and his hammer's use proves it takes place before Hela crushes it. The scene may be the long-awaited moment where Thor discovers Loki has been impersonating Odin to rule Asgard, and the trickster does seem abashed by his step-brother.
And Thor? Well, the hero just looks done with Loki.
The look Thor gives Loki certainly aligns with what fans have been told of the pair's relationship in Thor: Ragnarok. ComicBook's Brandon Davis had the chance to visit the film's set, and it was there that Tom Hiddleston described Loki's unique dynamic with Thor this time around.
"I've said this about Loki before, but the opposite of love is not hate but indifference. The idea that Thor might be indifferent to Loki is troubling for him because a defining feature of his character is, 'I don't belong in the family; my brother doesn't love me; I hate my brother,'" Hiddleston revealed. "The idea his brother is like, 'Yeah, whatever,' is an interesting development."
