The focus at the moment is on Thor: Ragnarok, but Marvel Studios just teased when its anticipated Avengers: Infinity War trailer will drop, and it's much sooner than you think.

During a chat with Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige, Fandango's Erik Davis asked about Infinity War's first trailer, and it is right around the corner.

"I asked Kevin Feige when the #InfinityWar trailer is going to hit, and he confirmed it will arrive 'before the end of the year.' 😜👍"

Odds are it will be done as a post-credits sequence, a lot like the first Avengers trailer was done at the end of Captain America: First Avenger. It would be an amazing way to end the year, but it also makes sense from a narrative perspective, as Feige has previously said this year's movies will have a big influence on Infinity War.

"Very heavily," Feige said. "Very heavily, as Iron Man and Captain America influenced the first Avengers. More so than the movies leading into Age of Ultron, even. They really build up to that."

Those movies will be Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, and Black Panther. As for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, that film featured its own self-contained story, though the Guardians will play a part in Infinity War.

The trailer will also contain some of the footage shown at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, which got a fantastic reception at the show. Hopefully, the debut trailer will be received just as well.

Avengers: Infinity War currently enjoys a 4.34 out of 5 on ComicBook.com's anticipation rankings, which you can vote on here.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
