Marvel's 'Agents of SHIELD': Watch Florence Faivre Transform Into Sinara

A new video shared by Marvel shows actress Florence Faivre's three-and-a-half-hour makeup process to transform into Sinara, a blue-skinned Kree and member of the Kree Watch of Lighthouse.

The cold-hearted killer made her first appearance in the second episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season five, which sees the super-spy team transported to the year 2091.

Super-powered Inhuman Daisy (Chloe Bennet) has apparently destroyed the world, and humanity's last-surviving beings are enslaved by the Kree on a neighboring station called the Lighthouse.

Sinara got a big moment in episode 5x06, "Fun & Games," which pitted Sinara and Daisy against one another in a brutal fight.

"Florence Faivre had done some acting but had not done anything like this — and yet it was very clear in the episodes I saw that there was something really powerful and enigmatic about this character," said Phil Coulson actor Clark Gregg, who directed the episode. "There’s just something about her and her eyes."

"She’s terrifying and willing to kill at the drop of the hat, so there’s no way that you should be sympathizing with her or Kasius," Gregg explained. "But one of the surprises for me, as I directed and then started to edit the episodes, was how much you are weirdly involved with their story."

Gregg praised both actresses for bringing their A-game to the fight, which was created by 18 hours of "intense, physical stuff."

The show is approaching its 100th episode, which will be "significant," according to Marvel head of television Jeph Loeb.

“Fans who hope that a 100th episode will contain something that will be a cataclysmic event or a gigantically resonate event for their feels after 100 episodes will not be disappointed," Gregg said.

ABC head Channing Dungey is "cautiously optimistic" about a season six for the Marvel series, first aired in fall 2013.

“It’s always hard at this point in January to know because some of it is also dependent on your new development and how you feel about those things, so that’s why it’s really hard at the top of the year to know exactly what’s going to happen," Dungey said.

The executive praised the series' creativity, calling it "the strongest its ever been."

“We’ve been really excited about what the producers have been talking about for the second half of the season," Dungey said. "I’m really looking forward to hearing them come in and talk about what their ideas would be for season 6, so we can make a better determination about whether we’re going to order another season or not.”
