Norman Reedus has a message for fans of The Walking Dead who are angry about not knowing who it was that Negan struck with his bat to conclude the show's sixth season.

"If they killed off one of their favorite characters, they'd all yell about that," Reedus tells NY Daily News. "It's surprising how many people want to see blood. That finale wasn't about who dies, our show is not 'Survivor Island.'"

Previously, the showrunners and Rick Grimes actor Andrew Lincoln have commented on the finale with similar messages. While speaking to Lincoln shortly after the finale aired, he told us, "That reaction is a compliment in itself." He went on to add, "I think it's a brilliant way to finish a season in this manner."

What did you think of The Walking Dead season finale? Were you okay with the season's arc concluding with the exchange of power from Rick to Negan or did you want to know who died?

The Walking Dead will return in October.
