Following the news of a crossover between The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, there is one cast member who appears to be the front runner to reprise their apocalyptic role on the other series.

Michael Cudlitz and Abraham Ford might be returning to the Dead universe by telling Big Red's back story on the sibling series.

"There is one character that is going to go from one show, that I will not name, to another show, that I will not name," The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman said. "This is a huge event in the world of The Walking Dead."

The announcement came Saturday night at New York Comic Con during The Walking Dead's panel. Ahead of the panel, Cudlitz was either sending some very cryptic subtweets to friend or foe in real life or teasing his return to the Dead universe.

"Crazy shit is about to go down," Cudlitz wrote on Saturday morning. "See y'all on the other side."

Other side? Meaning... Other show? As in Fear the Walking Dead?

The morning after the announcement, Cudlitz sent another cryptic tweet.

"Muahahahaha," Cudlitz wrote at 9:20 am ET on Sunday. "All good."

Either Cudlitz is putting some sort of personal issue unrelated to a TV series on Twitter seeing as no one seems to know of any pop culture event he may be referring to (something which would be out of character for the humble, charistmatic actor) or he is teasing Abraham's return on Fear the Walking Dead.

After all, Abraham's story does line him up for an appearance on the sibling series.

In The Walking Dead, Abraham revealed his early days of the apocalypse surviving in a grocery store in Houston, Texas. There, he did everything he could to protect his wife Ellen, son AJ, and daughter Becca. Those efforts weren't enough and he would eventually meet up with Eugene while on the brink of suicide and set out on a course lined up with that of Maggie, then Glenn, and eventually Rick Grimes.

Since the announcement, Fear the Walking Dead's showrunner Dave Erickson commented on the crossover during an exclusive interview with ComicBook.com.

"I had suspicions but it was not something that we were considering when we were breaking Season 3," Erickson said. "I think it's a good thing for the show. I think it's something that's going to hopefully galvanize both our modest fanbase and then the much larger Walking Dead fanbase."

The Walking Dead's sibling series Fear the Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 pm ET on AMC. The Walking Dead will return for its eighth season on October 22, 2017.
