It’s been far too long since we could let a claymation snowman pummel Earthworm Jim into submission.

Fortunately, Drip Drop Games and Interplay are ending the drought with a remastered version of ClayFighter, the 90s fighting video game franchise where clay-animated characters beat the snot (or whatever resides inside clay figures) out of each other. With updated visuals and audio, the remastering will finally present the series’ clay carnage in the definition it deserves.
The remastered version, which hits PCs in 2016, will include an All-Star lineup of the franchise’s top 20 characters. Set for this new sculpt will be Bad Mr. Frosty, Blue Suede Goo, Earthworm Jim, Hoppy, and plenty more. Naturally, Clatalities—humorous finishing movies parodying Mortal Kombat’s Fatalities, will return to the fold. The new installment will also introduce double-jumps, counters, air dashes, and more into the franchise.
No plans for console release were announced. But if demand is high enough, we hope it would become available through PlayStation Network and X-Box Live.
