And, yes, to answer the questions of everyone on social media: this is for the film’s second trailer. The first trailer has already been released. As publicity for big-budget movies gets more and more elaborate, apparently every new bit of footage is going to require a herald on a silver surfboard flying out days ahead of it and shouting “it’s coming! It’s coming!”
From director Tim Burton, and based upon the best-selling novel, comes an unforgettable motion picture experience. When Jake discovers clues to a mystery that spans alternate realities and times, he uncovers a secret refuge known as Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As he learns about the residents and their unusual abilities, Jake realizes that safety is an illusion, and danger lurks in the form of powerful, hidden enemies. Jake must figure out who is real, who can be trusted, and who he really is.
The film stars Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Chris O’Dowd, Ella Purnell, Allison Janney, Rupert Everett, Terence Stamp, with Judi Dench and Samuel L. Jackson.
This young adult book was originally intended to be a picture book featuring photographs Riggs had collected, but on the advice of an editor at Quirk Books, he used the photographs as a guide from which to put together a narrative. The result was a story about a boy who follows clues from his grandfather’s old photographs which lead him on an adventure that takes him to a large abandoned orphanage on a Welsh island.
