DC Animation's Young Justice is beloved by fans, who were understandably crushed when the series ended after a run of 47 episodes. Since the show ended, other fan-favorite series have managed to find new life on streaming platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon.

Hopes are high that Young Justice will follow suit, with persisting rumors that target Netflix as the number one option. A recent Reddit post spurred fans on even more, when Reddit user swervingmoss posted a picture of a Young Justice Episode $206 script signed by writer Peter David, with a caption that said "Today at Terrific con at Mohegan sun in Connecticut I met Peter David writer of Young Justice. He told me he's met with Netflix about a 3rd season after seeing how popular the show became on Netflix. It's happening."

Naturally, those claims got the community psyched up, but once word spread around social media, Producer of Young Justice Greg Weisman was asked about the claims, who then looped in Peter David.

Weisman was rather confident that David had simply been misquoted, and David confirmed as much in his reply.

The original poster swervingmoss updated his Reddit thread with some clarification on the comments that started all this, but still included misinformation.

"LET ME JUST ADD ONE THING HERE, MY "it's happening" WAS MORE HYPE THAN CONFIRMATION. I TOLD YOU ALL WHAT I KNOW AND WHAT I WAS TOLD, IT DOESNT MEAN I CAN CONFIRM. TRUTH IS THAT PETER DAVID MET WITH NETFLIX AFTER NETFLIX SAW THE INCREASE IN VIEWS OF YJ, THATS A GOOD SIGN THAT NETFLIX CAN MOVE FORWARD WITH A NEW SEASON BUT ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. ONLY TIME WILL TELL"

The "It's Happening" part seems to be the most problematic with fans, but David's tweet seems to indicate that the meetings swervingmoss is referring to haven't actually happened yet. David and Weisman further explained that the two of them had a lunch together, but Netflix was not involved.

Weisman added one additional comment to the whole ordeal and wants fans to keep supporting the Young Justice material that's currently on Netflix (and buying the DVDs and on iTunes), which is really the only thing fans can do at this point.
