It’s cool enough to be at one of the first public screenings of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but one showing got a lot more than they expected before the film even started.

The cast of Rogue One surprised a lucky audience before the screening of the film, with Gareth Edwards, Riz Ahmed, Diego Luna, Alan Tudyk, and Felicity Jones all hopping on stage to greet them. Ahmed shared the video on his Instagram account with the caption “Surprising fans at the first public cinema screening of @starwars Rogue One – thank you for all the love! It’s out now. Join the Rebellion.”

Not every screening will have the star-studded introduction of course, but it’s still fun to know that they could show up just about anywhere.

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are producing, with John Knoll and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers.
