While Sony claims this Spider-Man: Homecoming “footage,” it seems more like a standalone featurette. Not having seen the movie, I can’t say for sure. The footage is from the perspective of Peter Parker, who films his experience prior to his big Avengers debut in Captain America: Civil War. Mostly he spends his time annoying Jon Favreau’s Happy Hogan, but we also see Peter getting his new high-tech suit for the first time, a unique perspective on his big Civil War action scene, and some fun banter with Tony Stark. It’s an entertaining clip, and pretty much spoiler-free, so fire up your PS4 and check it out!
Spider-Man: Homecoming sees young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine, but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters on July 7.
