The chaos of the director change on the next Star Wars anthology film has since died down, and now it’s back to business as usual with Ron Howard taking the reins. The new director of the Han Solo spinoff movie has been providing updates on social media, but the latest one might just send fans into a frenzy.

Howard took to Instagram with a new photo of his viewing monitor where they’re preparing to shoot a scene taking place in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. The picture, however, might just give a major hint of who is manning the cockpit.

It’s nearly impossible to tell who is in the cockpit because they’re unrecognizable, given it’s a picture of a picture, but Howard offers a clue with the phrasing “lining up a shot.” Principal actors don’t standby while lighting and camera operators plan out their shots โ€” that’s what stand-ins are for. But stand-ins are usually given similar attire and tend to have similar appearances to their principal counterparts.

That bright yellow outfit, coupled with the wardrobe shot Howard provided last week, might be an indication that Howard is giving us our first look at Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon.

Rumors rumbling around the film production indicated that the Han Solo movie would show just how the Nerf-herding smuggler came into possession of the Falcon โ€”given their dialogue from The Empire Strikes Back, Solo managed to get the upper hand in a gamble with Lando.

Will Lando be in possession of the Falcon at the beginning of the film? We’ll find out next summer when the Han Solo movie premieres in theaters on May 24, 2018.

More Han Solo News:

The Han Solo movie is being produced by Lucasfilm from a screenplay by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan and will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the second standalone Star Wars movie following Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in 2016.

Set prior to the events of Han Solo’s first appearance in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, the film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Joonas Suotamo. The film is said to show how Han Solo and Chewbacca, first met Lando Calrissian, played by Glover.

Filming on the Han Solo movie began in January 2017 with Phil Lord and Christopher Miller directing. Principal photography began at Pinewood Studios in February. Lord and Miller left the Han Solo movie in June, having reportedly been fired over creative differences. Ron Howard will come on as the director to see the production to completion.
